    13 Effective Home Remedies for Red Moles on Skin

    Red moles, or cherry angiomas, are small growths in red color on the skin. They typically occur due to old age, genetic inheritance, or too much exposure to direct sunlight. Though they are not dangerous, many patients desire them to be removed from their bodies naturally.

    Here are 13 home remedies you can apply to reduce red moles naturally.

    What Are Red Moles?

    Red moles may be defined as tiny blood vessels developing on the skin surface. According to dermatologists, only 50 percent of adults above 30 years develop a cherry angioma. The skin can form these moles anywhere in the body, including the torso and shoulders, and arms.

    Causes of Red Moles

    • Genes – If the family has a history, the person has high chances of getting them.

    • Older Age – Afterwards, red moles are common among people whose age exceeds 30. 

    • Sun Exposure – Direct UV rays result in some changes on the skin.

    • Hormonal Changes – These angioma may occur towards the end of the cycle of a female due to pregnancy or near menopause.

    • Liver-related diseases – Such studies find that there is a base relationship of the liver with red moles.

    13 Effective Remedies For Moles at Home

    1. Apple Cider Vinegar 

    Apple cider vinegar has acetic acid which helps in mole dissolving.

    • Dip a cotton ball in acid.

    • Apply to the mole for 10 minutes, daily.

    • Rinse with water.

    • Continue this for 2-3 weeks for best results.

    2. Tea Tree Oil

    It has antimicrobial as well as anti-inflammatory properties.

    • Apply a few drops of tea tree oil to the mole.

    • Don’t rinse it; leave overnight.

    • Repeat for 2-4 weeks, daily.

    3. Garlic Paste 

    The natural way to reduce moles is to use all that sulfur which is found in garlic. 

    • Mash the garlic clove into a paste. 

    • Use this paste on the mole and attach it to the skin with a band aid. 

    • Let it work for 2 hours and rinse it away. 

    • Repeat every day for a few weeks.

    4. Aloe Vera Gel

    Aloe Vera is soothing and helps in fading away of moles gradually.

    • Take the fresh aloe vera gel. 

    • Apply it over the mole and keep it for half an hour, wash it off. 

    • Repeat – two times in a day. 

    5. Lemon Juice

    It is a natural bleaching agent. 

    • Apply freshly extracted lemon juice on the mole. 

    • Keep it on for 15 minutes and wash it. 

    • Continue for 2-3 weeks daily. 

    6. Castor Oil and Baking Soda 

    This mixture helps in drying the moles. 

    • Add 1 tsp of baking soda to a few drops of castor oil. 

    • Apply on the mole and let it act overnight. 

    • Wash with water in the morning. 

    • Continue for 1-2 weeks. 

    7. Onion Juice

    Juices from onions are acidic in nature, breaking down moles. 

    • Take a fresh onion to bite out a little juice from. 

    • Allocate it on a mole and leave for half an hour. 

    • Rinse, and repopulate every day. 

    8. Banana Peel 

    As antioxidants help in fading moles, so banana peel is a remedy for moles. 

    • Cut off a small piece of banana skin. 

    • Place it on the mole and secure it with a bandage. 

    • Let it sit overnight. 

    • Repeat it for a couple of weeks. 

    9. Coconut Oil 

    Coconut oil keeps the skin healthy and reduces the mole, too, after while. 

    • Daily apply a few drops of coconuts oil. 

    • Massage gently for 2-3 minutes. 

    • Repeat for some weeks. 

    10. Pineapple Juice 

    Pineapple juice has some enzymes which dissolve moles. 

    • Dip a cotton ball in fresh pineapple juice. 

    • Place it on the mole for 20 minutes. 

    • Rinse it, then do every day. 

    11. Honey and Flaxseed Paste: 

    Honey is a good antibiotic and flaxseed kills moles on skin. 

    Mix one with one of honey and flaxseed power. 

    Application and letting set for 30 minutes before a complete rinse, do this daily. 

    12. Iodine Solution 

    This slowly dissolves the moles. 

    Direct on the mole with a 5% iodine solution. 

    Cover with a band-aid. 

    Do this for a minimum of 2x over a period of several weeks. 

    13. Potato Juice 

    Potato juice has very mild bleaching properties. 

    Rub cut slices of raw potatoes on the mole. 

    After 20 minutes, rinse. 

    Repeat daily.

    When do you consult a doctor?

    Although these home remedies work, a doctor should be seen whenever: 

    • The mole alters its shape, color, or size. 

    • Bleeding or itching develops. 

    • You have skin cancer in your family’s history. 

    Avoiding Red Moles 

    • Population sunscreen every day (SPF 30+). 

    • One should stay hydrated and consume such nutrients that are rich in antioxidants. 

    • Avoid the sun. 

    • Moisturizing the skin. 

    When to Meet a Physician 

    These 13 remedies can be used to treat red moles in a natural way inside the house. However, it can vary from person to person. In case of any unusual changes, one should consult with a dermatologist for getting the right diagnosis and treatment.
